Here in Panamá there are only two seasons. Summer and Winter. AKA: Rainy season and dry season. Winter is hot and summer is hotter. This means I basically wear the same clothes all year long. Oh, how I miss the fall, and wearing comfy sweaters and boots!

While it is already summer here the US is anxiously waiting for the warmer weather of spring. So this one is for you spring. These are the pieces I would use if I was able to enjoy you. Just kidding. I'll be visiting the states in April, and these are some of the things I plan to wear. Lucky for me spring fashion this year is filled with fallish looks. I'm so pumped to be able to incorporate some of my favorite fall pieces into my spring wardrobe.

One of my favorite colors is purple. So naturally one of my favorite colors for spring is this beautiful lilac color. I recently bought this top in Panamá City from a store called Bonage. I love the braided detail, and my favorite way to wear it is to tie it in a knot on the side.

Another beautiful lilac piece that I am absolutely obsessed with is this backpack that I thrifted a while back. I love pairing it with almost everything. (Brand: Francinel)

I have also been really enjoying white. I'm terrified of getting my white items stained, but I love white in all its basic glory. For example: This white denim top I thrifted recently. I thought it was quite a unique piece and it was 50% off so of course I had to buy it! It was only $3.50!

White jeans are just a staple to have this spring. Get some. You need them. Thrift them. Then you won't feel as bad when you get them stained. Your welcome. Mine are thrifted and cost a whole $6. Score! I have yet to stain them. (knocks on wood)

My last white item is this crossbody that my grandmother gave me. She was using it while she was here for our wedding. I told her I liked it and her response was, "Good. You can have it. I don't like it." Thanks Grams! (I never call my grandma grams...)

Oh my goodness... inspiration has just struck me! An all white outfit! I will let you all know how this goes. It is so happening. Note to self: Buy some white shoes.

A pattern that I am really loving for the spring time is water color. I recently thrifted this top, and have been pairing it with my light wash skinny jeans and sandals. (Brand: Forever 21)

Speaking of my light wash skinny jeans, they are another staple to my spring wardrobe. I asked my mom to bring me these from Aeropostale because they are some of the most comfortable pants I have ever worn! I already had them in black and gray. Go get you some. Fo realz girl. You need them.

Another denim piece that I love is this awesome denim dress that can really be worn during any season. I purchased this from an Instagram store called ReBloom Boutique. They have great used items. Definitely go check them out. @rebloomboutique

Another great dress for spring is this adorable floral dress I received in a thrift swap. (Brand: Loft)
See the other items I received in the swap here: https://youtu.be/Lew5L6TSusM

Lastly maxi skirts and dresses are closet essentials. Lets be real though. They are mostly essential for those days when we need/want to wear a dress/skirt and are too lazy to shave our legs. Don't lie. I know you do it too! My favorite maxi skirts come from thrift stores. Thrift stores have these great floral maxi skirts that I am just obsessed with! I currently have 4... 2 of which are fairly similar to each other. I may or may not have bought them on the same shopping trip... I mean they are different enough right? Don't judge me.

This is my current favorite maxi dress. I thrifted this a month or so ago for a church event. I love it! It is so comfortable, and is the perfect length for my short self.

In my next post I will share my go to shoes and accessories for spring and summer or maybe some of our wedding photos.

Today I am finally sharing with you guys one of the most exciting things that has happened in my life...

I GOT MARRIED!

In today's post I decided I would introduce you to my husband, and share with you our very unique story.

Six years ago I took a trip with a summer missions team to the beautiful country of Panamá. Near the end of the trip I met this super cute boy named Randol. Being my usual shy self I said absolutely nothing to him, but to my surprise he had noticed me too. Being his very outgoing self he did talk to me. We only spent a few hours together, but somehow it felt like we had spent a lifetime together. We took our first photo together, and as we said our goodbyes he told me, "we will see each other again."

We kept in touch thanks to the internet. By kept in touch I mean we talked every single day. We would talk for hours and never get bored.

Finally after almost 2 years we did in fact see each other again when I went back to Panamá with another missions team.

In 2013 he took his first ever flight to the US to meet my family.

On December 31, 2013 he asked me to be his wife!

After being in a long distance relationship for five years... On February 8, 2015, I moved to Panamá to finally be with the love of my life!

And...
FINALLY
I joined the Gonzalez family on July 29, 2016.

We are so incredibly happy and excited to see what the Lord has in store for us! We hope that our story is an encouragement to any of you who may be in a long distance relationship or thinking of being in one. The wait can be long and it is definitely is not easy, but it is so worth it. Trust and communication are huge factors in making your relationship last. Long distance relationships don't have to be scary. Allow yourself to take a chance.

P.S. Getting married in Panamá is a tad different. Long story short we are legally married now, and will have a wedding ceremony in January!

Feel free to e-mail me any questions you may have about being in a long distance relationship! I also would love to hear your stories!

Do you ever find yourself obsessed with one specific piece of clothing? Do you often find yourself suddenly embarrassed by how many times you've worn it in the past few weeks?
Well, today you will hopefully be inspired to continue wearing your favorite pieces! Just maybe a tad more discreetly! ;)

This is one of my favorite pieces in my closet right now! Yes, it is the same dress I wore in my first blog post. No shame.

Yes, those are the same Arizona sandals from my second post. They are just so easy to wear, and none of the other shoes I own seem to go with any of my clothes.

Okay, back to what you came here for!

Blushing Stripes

Add a skirt, and tug on the dress at your waste a little to make a great casual lunch date look.

Flowy Florals

Add a kimono for a more relaxed look.

Cobalt Meets Stripes

Add a bright colored skater skirt, and let the dress peek out a bit at the bottom for a fun edgy look.

Native Stripes

Embrace your inner desire to be Pocahontas, and add some fringe for a more earthy look.

Roses and Lines

Wear a fun floral dress as a skirt for a girly vintage look.

Which look is your favorite?

This year pantone has two colors for color of the year. Rose quartz and serenity are both beautiful colors. I have been so inspired by rose quartz most recently. I decided to raid my closet for my favorite pieces in similar shades, and share with you the outfits I created with them.

First up is:
Rose Quartz in Festivals

For this outfit I used a light blush colored tank, that I thrifted, as my rose quartz inspired piece.
I paired it with some distressed denim shorts, that I picked up from Plato's Closet a while back. My awesome faux suede fringe vest was gifted to me by my best friend, Kelly. My shoes are by Arizona and were a gift from my grandmother. My braided belt is another thrifted item. I received my shell bracelet through a YouTube swap with a friend from Belgium. My other bracelet was also a purchase from Plato's Closet.
Last but not least my necklace is a piece that has a very special story. In the spring of 2013 I had the opportunity to serve with Fundacion Dunamis in Quito, Ecuador. Fundacion Dunamis is an organization that ministers to young girls and women who have previously been in prostitution. These ladies are taught how to make jewelry and other skills that will help them make a living. You can find out more about this awesome organization on their website:  http://www.dunamisfoundationec.com

Casual dresses are always so easy to wear, and this particular dress is the most comfortable dress I have ever owned. I chose to feature this dress because of the rosy colors in the pattern, the blue that greatly resembles serenity, and the great pockets. Who doesn't love a dress with pockets? My grandmother and I found it at a little boutique in Louisville, KY. Since the dress pattern has so much going on I decided to keep the accessories simple with just a small anklet that I made myself.
Yes, those are the same shoes from the first look. They are my go to shoes. They go with almost everything!

Church Chic

I have been obsessed with skirts recently, and immediately fell in love with this rosy colored one I found at a thrift store a few months ago. Of course I had to feature it in this rose quartz inspired blog. My cardigan and blouse were also thrifted. My adorable little structured evening bag is originally from Bloomingdale's, but this girl scored it at a resale shop here in Panamá, with the $120 Bloomingdale's price tag still attached, for only $12.99. Lastly I purchased my Target shoes from Plato's Closet for just $4.

Totally Expected

For this final look I kept it super simple. This is my go to look for days when I don't have much going on. My top is a brightish pinkish orange shade v-neck that I picked up from Old Navy a couple years ago. My dark wash jeans were thrifted from Goodwill, and once again I am wearing my trusty Arizona sandals. All of my bracelets I've picked up from street stands in Panamá, except the tiny rubber loom one which was made and given to me by a little boy from church.

Hair

I wanted to do something different with my hair for these looks, and I thought you guys might like to know how I did it. It is actually super simple. I just let my hair air dry, made random tiny braids in it, then tied in some little feathers at the ends of two of the braids with little hair rubber bands.

It is 5:40pm, you are trying on your fifth outfit, and you should have left the house twenty minutes ago. You take one last look in the mirror, and your eye is just unsatisfied.

Countless women have had many an experience such as this.
I believe it usually ends something like:
"Oh my gosh! I have nothing to wear! That's it! I'm not going!"
one of many times I was unsatisfied with my outfit

Thus I give you Unsatisfied Eye, the blog that will inspire you in your most difficult of fashion crises.
and one time I was completely satisfied with my outfit
